Many of you who have embarked on your own personal genealogical research will have noticed that you are often reviving attempts/desires of certain ancestors that had been interrupted but whose drive, not yet completely exhausted, we are still subject to. These are the so-called ‘ancestral influences’. These influences are easy to find and even more frequent in the geographical movements we make in life: we think we are making decisions based on logical and utilitarian needs, but instead we realise that we are retracing the paths that our ancestors had also travelled.

The idea of a freely chosen and potentially changeable gender is the result of a pre-Oedipal, and therefore borderline, if not psychotic, psyche that seeks to protect infantile polymorphous perversity, the phenomenon whereby children tend to use any part of the body and any object, animate or inanimate, as a form of equivalent pleasure. We are not fans of the missionary position; we know that traces of this pansexualism are preserved in adult psychism and have their own amusing economy in adult sexual satisfaction.
